Boizel on screen
The Netflix release of Champagne Problems on November 19th has offered Boizel an unexpected spotlight. Largely filmed in Épernay, the production team used several iconic locations at 46 Avenue de Champagne: the Maison’s entrance, our historic courtyard, and certain galleries of our cellars, which are part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
Accustomed to welcoming visitors on guided tours, these spaces here take on a new dimension. The lighting, framing, and staging choices reveal the Maison’s architecture and the depth of its cellars in a fresh way, while preserving their authenticity.
Beyond our Maison, the film celebrates Champagne and, in particular, the town of Épernay. Its meticulously crafted scenes, shot during winter and last year’s Habits de Lumière celebrations, make discovering the region especially inviting.
This on-screen presence is part of a broader trend: Champagne now attracts numerous cultural, cinematic, and documentary projects, reflecting growing public interest in its landscapes, heritage, and art of living.
For Champagne Boizel, this collaboration represents a wonderful opportunity to introduce its universe to a new audience, while highlighting the unique place of the Avenue de Champagne in the collective imagination.
