Vinification

For the Grand Vintage, only grapes that have the potential to produce wines with great finesse and ageing potential are selected.

The blend is composed of 60% Pinot Noir from the vineyards of Mailly, Chignyles-Roses, and Vertus, and 40% Chardonnay from Avize, Vertus, and Cuis.

After 8 years of ageing in the House’s cellars, the Grand Vintage 2013 is now ready to reveal its power and elegance.

Tasting

Light gold in colour, with fine persistent bubbles.

The nose is rich and generous and opens with a wide range of intense aromas.
Notes of quince, honey, candied citrus fruits and orange peel, and brioche intermingle with great intensity and balance.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and shows a great freshness, underpinned by a silky and refined texture.

The mineral finish is delicate and completed by a beautiful crispy touch, prolonged by a light acidic and lively structure.

Magnificent with a roasted quail with almonds and prunes, in a light cream sauce or sweetbreads in crispy puff pastry. Grand Vintage 2013 is also a perfect match for lightly seared foie gras with peach compote.
